A Note From Ted Huang:
1999 Cat's Hill
I won this race in 1999.
I
remember that beautiful typically sunny CA
day quite well as I rode down to Los Gatos
with every intention to just spectate and cheer
my teammates on. You see, criteriums are NOT
my cup of tea. However,
Cat's Hill is not just any criterium. After
much cajoling from my Alto Velo teammates, I
entered the race. Much to my surprise,
I made the race winning break, along with teammate
Matt Sarna. With a strong team behind chasing
down every bridge attempt, I had no choice but
to give it my best shot. Definitely one
of my most cherished and memorable wins. Thank
you LGBRC for putting on such a wonderful
event, year after year.
